Partners John Langslet and Justin Thorp won a major victory for the Oregon Insurance Guaranty Association in the Oregon Supreme Court against a claim by the liquidator of an insolvent workers compensation carrier, thereby protecting a $10 million security deposit for payment of Oregon claims.

Timothy J. Fransen, a 2007 graduate of the Hastings College of the Law, Order of the Coif, has joined the firm as an associate.

Partner Jonathan M. Hoffman received the 2007 Distinguished Service Award from the Product Liability Advisory Council.

Partner Philip A. Rush has been invited to be a speaker for the Aviation Law Special Litigation Group at the 2008 Products Liability. Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, sponsored by the Defense Research Institute.  His topic will be: “Regulations and Defense Involving Military Surplus Aircraft and Parts.”
