Practice Emphasis
Ms. Volpert practices civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defense and coverage litigation, commercial litigation, and appeals. She also represents corporations and individuals in business transactions.
Education
Ms. Volpert graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Earlham College in Japanese studies and fine arts and earned her law degree from Willamette University. Upon graduation, she clerked for Arnold Denecke, then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Oregon.
Ms. Volpert is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Professional and Community Activities
Ms. Volpert is a member of the Oregon and Washington State Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. Ms. Volpert has served on the Board of Bar Examiners, the Board of Directors of Multnomah County Legal Aid Service, Inc., and the Board of Directors of the Portland Women’s Union, a non-profit charitable trust. She has two children and volunteers in the Portland Public Schools.
