Practice Emphasis
Mr. Kamin’s practice focuses on taxation, estates and estate planning, real property, and business. Mr. Kamin has broad experience in federal tax law, ranging from returns, audits, appeals, and collections, to planning for new and existing businesses, real estate transactions, and estate transfers.
Mr. Kamin has helped clients establish and operate a variety of business entities including “C” and “S” corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies (“LLC’s”). He has also practiced extensively in the areas of wills, trusts, and probate, and has represented parties involved in commercial real estate sales, leases, and financing as well as the creation of real estate covenants and easements.
Education
Mr. Kamin is admitted to practice law in Oregon and Washington and before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court of Oregon. Mr. Kamin received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors at Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College where he served on the law review.
Professional Activities
Mr. Kamin is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association. He has served on the IRS Liaison and Elder Law Computers and Technology subcommittees of the Oregon State Bar, and was a planner for its 1992 Advising Professionals seminar. Mr. Kamin is a member of MENSA.
